What are you most looking forward to in February?
March. Honestly, February is still a freezing-line month, and I’ve been waiting months already to to smoke a cigar on my porch without wearing a parka and mittens. The best thing that can happen to February is March. ;) Go on, ask another - I dare you.

– Albert Camus (via azspot) [I haven’t read Camus in a while and I don’t recall anything specific he wrote about democratic elections, but this quote reminded me of his essays on resistance; now I’m curious to find out.]

Now, I love #DeutschNepal, so I’d hope this track was meant as an homage to #Swans “Blood and Honey” - if not, then I’d be very disappointed!

Michigan has igloos too, America! →
It’s obviously cold enough in this photo that it shouldn’t come as a surprise if one were also to see an igloo nearby - but, are there igloos in Michigan? My point is, please, America, question the Great White Myth of the Canadian North - when it’s cold, we stay indoors (note: houses have doors,) and kill time online - and there’s nothing Nanook about that.

High priestess of lamentation, Diamanda Galás sings with ferocious love for the marginalized and the alienated; a patron saint of lost souls.

Having once read that, “every guy has a tiny Metallica playing in his head 24/7,” this seems like the ideal video to accompany that assertion.

Personal favourite from the exceptional @JordanReyne; thx to @ludovicaa for RT. Vid similar to NIN Fragile imagery, only less MTV, more earnest.

Woke up this morning with this song in my head. How’s that for observing a “day of worship”? ;)
